“Design is empowering. If you believe in something you have all the tools to champion the cause.”—Bobby C Martin Jr
A handmade edition of 10 recycled notebooks by Rosalind Stoughton.
The covers of the book are made from reclaimed, eco-friendly MDF (made in a way that does not emit toxic formaldehyde) onto which the wood grain has been etched using a laser, so that it looks like text printed onto real wood without the environmental impact of inks and glues! The spine has been coptic-bound with organic cotton thread, eliminating the need for adhesives. The pages are made from PEFC approved, chlorine-free, 100% recycled paper made from selected waste to ensure a smoother, whiter drawing surface.

“The cover of the first issue of Rost Magazine, titled “3000”.
Rost Magazine is a non-profit, non-commercial literary publication in Hungarian that widely uses the Creative Commons licence. It aims to bring a diverse range of quality “flash” fiction - very short short stories - to its readers and thus popularize the genre, the authors and reading in general.
We would like to thank the following for the stock images used in this issue of Rost:Grant Friedman + Nick Merritt + Nicole Sumpter + Marcus Ranum
The magazine’s primary format is pdf, optimized for home printers (the whole publication takes up no more than a single A4 page.) The stories published will be available as CC-licensed podcasts as well.
Rost means pulp in Hungarian.”

(via Letters of Note: I leave it in your capable hands)
This has less to do with the famous sender and recipient than the subtle but masterful art of letter-writing.
